Eastern Staffing & Recruiting is recruiting for Project Engineer for our client in the Mount Pleasant, SC area!  This position will lead new development projects (internal and external) and/or existing projects while providing a supporting role to the senior project engineer.
 
Responsibilities
  • Lead new development projects (internal and external) and/or existing projects while providing a supporting role to the senior project engineer.
  • Serve as a liaison between the US company, the customer and European company on project management, design issues and any other relevant topics.
  • Create and maintain project timelines and open items lists with a clear understanding of the project scope and plan to meet customer expectations.
  • Develop project objectives based on project requirements while aligning with company goals.
  • Provide support to the quality department to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards as it relates to the customer and company.
  • Ensure conformity to standards, requirements and tolerances identified within the customer’s technical specifications.
  • Analyze project requirements to help identify business problems and propose solutions.
  • Provide functional training and orientation whenever necessary.
  • Develop technical documentation required for each customer (i.e. Technical Description, Mounting Instructions, RAMS, etc.).
  • Interpret drawings and relay the fundamental design information depicted on the drawings.
  • Prepare, organize and present documentation for design reviews required for each phase of the project.
  • Provide continuous open communication with customer to ensure a collaborative partnership and that expectations are aligned.
  • Travel of up to 25% per year.
  • Other duties required as assigned.
 
Requirements
  • Three (3)+ years’ experience related to Project Management. (Verifiable experience may substitute for formal education).
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Ability to handle shifting priorities from day to day.
  • Experience with 3D modeling applications (CATIA V5).     
  • Ability to learn and utilize ERP/MRP/PLM software relevant to production and manufacturing (SAP).
  • Familiarity with both US and European standards.
  • Experience within the transportation industry.
  • Ability to work in a cohesive team environment.

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $85,000 - $105,000, though a candidate's salary will be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience.
