Description
Jim Westerhold is the General Manager of Boone Hall Plantation & Gardens, Farms – May ’2020-current.
Formerly the Chair/Professor of the Forestry/Wildlife Department at Horry Georgetown Technical College and worked part time at Boone Hall for 13 years previous to this position at Boone Hall.
Previously a Wildlife Biologist with SC Department of Natural Resources and manager of other plantations in the Lowcountry totaling over 15 years
Masters degree in Wildlife from Clemson University.
Grew up on a farm.
Spent several winter months in the Bering Sea as a fisherman.
Blessed with good enough health to donate a kidney in 2025.
Jim and his wife of over 20 years (Missy) and daughter (Lily) live in Mount Pleasant and are very happy being a part of the Boone Hall Plantation Family.
