Mount Pleasant, S.C. – VR Business Sales of Charleston, an established Lowcountry business brokerage firm located in Mount Pleasant, is now under new ownership. Mark McLean, a Charleston resident and long-time entrepreneur, acquired the company earlier this year and, in May, relocated it to 884 Johnnie Dodds Blvd. Suite 201.

McLean is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After a successful career as Vice President at a specialty contracting firm, he moved to the Lowcountry with his wife, Melody, to open a dog daycare and boarding business. The business quickly thrived and was sold to a national pet care company.

In the process, McLean discovered the concept of business brokerage while working with a reputable broker who facilitated a smooth transaction and secured top dollar for his business. This experience ignited his desire to assist other business owners in achieving similar success.

McLean acquired his SC real estate license and, three months later, came across an excellent opportunity to take over the Charleston VR franchise. He is enthusiastic about providing Lowcountry business owners with the necessary tools, resources, and strategies to ensure that they receive top dollar for their businesses through a seamless transaction.
