Support Palmetto Boys State!

The American Legion Post 136 sincerely appreciates your willingness to support the Palmetto Boys State (PBS) program. This year, we need your support more than ever. Since COVID-19 is no longer an issue, we are trying to get back to our pre-COVID numbers of 1100-1200 delegates attending PBS. PBS will again be held at Anderson University from June 9-15, 2024.

Moultrie Post 136, a MPCC member since 2017, is committed to sponsoring 10-20 boys from all public and private schools in the East Cooper area. In 2019, there were 1,170 rising high school seniors from around the State who attended this laboratory of State Government. This year, we hope to rebuild with a focus on having delegates from every high school in South Carolina and prioritizing equal representation from our tri-county schools. Our goal is to sponsor boys from every high school in Mount Pleasant, which you can help us achieve!

Palmetto Boys State participants compete through local American Legion Posts to earn scholarships to attend. The cost for sponsoring a student for the week is $300.00. We appreciate your monetary support in helping us provide this experience to as many students as possible.
