MP Chamber earns recognition
SC Biz News has selected the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce as a 2025 Empowering Women honoree.
Empowering Women Awards shine a light on companies and organizations that have demonstrated tangible efforts and documented results in supporting and elevating women in South Carolina. Winners were selected by members of the SC Biz News leadership team and were judged based on documented hiring and promoting of women; leadership positions held by women; advocacy for the cause of women internally and externally; and efforts to cultivate the next generation of women professionals.
“The 2025 Empowering Women winners invest in, elevate and support women leaders throughout the state. They demonstrate tangible, innovative efforts to assist women in taking on new opportunities in business and in the community,” said Jason Thomas, executive editor of SC Biz News.
The winners will be honored Sept. 15 at a celebration at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, 1101 Lincoln St., Columbia. The event begins at 4 p.m. with a networking reception followed at 5 p.m. by dinner and the awards program. The hashtag is #SCBIZevents.
"We're honored to be recognized by SC Biz News as one of the Empowering Women organizations," said Rebecca Imholz, Executive Director of the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce. "This award is a testament to the dedication of our members, partners and volunteers who champion our mission to support and advance women in business. Through our R.I.S.E. (Reach, Inspire, Support and Empower) program, we're proud to provide resources and a strong network that helps women leaders develop and thrive in our community."
Honorees will be profiled in a special section that will be inserted into the Oct. 13 issue of the Columbia Regional Business Report and in the Oct. 20 issues of Charleston Regional Business Journal and GSA Business Report.
