MP Biz Expo kicks off Sept. 18

Moultrie News July 10, 2025

Get your business cards ready! The largest networking event in Mount Pleasant — driven by Crews Subaru — is set to take place Thursday, September 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Omar Shrine at Patriot’s Point.

“The excitement is building for the 15th annual Mount Pleasant Business & Community Expo! We’re well ahead of last year’s pace in securing a fantastic group of vendors and sponsors who have already signed up,” stated Ben Knight, Expo committee chair. “We have heard from many businesses in Mount Pleasant regarding their desire to attract more qualified applicants for the well-paying jobs they have available. As a result, we have committed to include a Job Fair component to this year’s Expo, and the companies seeking job applicants are impressive and will be announced very soon.”

Knight added: “Because the vendors will be arriving no later than 10:30 a.m. to man their respective booths, we also have worked out a great deal with Top Shelf Catering for an early lunch at a reasonable price of $15. Not only can vendors utilize this before the Expo starts, but the community can also participate in this offer while supplies last.”

There are still some booths and sponsorships available. Please note that effective Aug. 25, booth prices will go up to $500 for members and $550 for non-members.

The 15th Annual Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce (MPCC) Business and Community Expo is designed to be both fun and educational, with interactive exhibitor booths that offer demonstrations, giveaways and food samples. For the first time this year there will be a job fair, the Building Business Podcast will be live onsite and more. There will be happy hour from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Four reasons to attend the Expo:

1. Network with Local Businesses: Connect with other entrepreneurs, industry leaders and potential clients to build valuable relationships and expand your business network.

2. Discover New Products and Services: Explore the latest offerings from local businesses and learn about innovative solutions that can benefit your business or personal life.

3. Attend the On-Site Job Fair: Whether you're looking to hire or seeking new opportunities, the job fair is a great place to meet local talent and connect with employers actively hiring in the community.

4. Learn About Community Initiatives: Stay informed about local projects, events and resources that can help you grow your business and give back to the community.
