About Us

WakeUp Carolina began with a promise after the fatal overdose of 19-year-old Mount Pleasant teenager, Creighton Shipman. Creighton’s family vowed that no person and no family would ever have to walk this walk alone. Since his passing in 2016, WakeUp Carolina has carried that promise forward—providing education, raising awareness, and offering HOPE in recovery through support groups, resources, and community partnerships.
