Job Summary:
The Front Office Receptionist at Premier Health & Wellness plays a critical role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for patients and visitors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls, directing them to the appropriate departments or individuals.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar to ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Verify patient information and update records as necessary.
  • Handle patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting co-pays and verifying insurance information.
  • Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation.
  • Maintain the front desk area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and provide accurate information about clinic services and policies.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to manage patient appointments and relay important information.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as clinic policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Front Office Receptionist may provide guidance and support to interns or new hires as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is required.
    • Experience in a medical or healthcare setting required.
  • Language Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Mathematical Skills:
    • Basic mathematical skills to handle cash transactions and co-pays.
  • Reasoning Ability:
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Certifications Required:
    • None. Additional certifications in medical office administration or customer service are a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity to handle phone systems, and office equipment, and perform data entry tasks.
  • Ability to lift and move office supplies as needed.

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed in a clinical office setting with frequent interaction with patients and medical staff.
  • Compliance with clinic safety protocols and procedures is required at all times.
