Speaker -
Brian Miller
Founder & Chairman, Atlas Technologies
Brian Miller is a U.S. Navy veteran, technology entrepreneur, and early internet pioneer. Before founding Atlas Technologies, he built a successful career in internet and UNIX consulting during the early growth of the internet. While serving in the Navy, he worked on modernizing military communications systems by helping transition older networks to secure internet-based technologies.
Brian also helped launch and operate some of the first Internet Service Providers in South Carolina. Later, alongside the Atlas team, he helped lead the development of advanced digital communication networks that connected entire U.S. Navy battle groups, improving how ships shared data and communicated during missions around the world.
Today, Brian serves as Chairman of the Board at Atlas Technologies, where he focuses on company vision, strategy, innovation, and community impact. Known as a hands-on leader, he stays involved across the business and regularly participates in charitable and community events supporting organizations such as the Special Olympics and March of Dimes.
In addition to leading Atlas, Brian is a serial entrepreneur with multiple startup ventures and a successful small business exit. He is also an active angel investor and serves on the board of the Harbor Entrepreneurial Center, supporting startup growth, entrepreneurship, and business expansion throughout the greater Charleston region. Brian has broad technical experience across networking, communications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
A veteran of the first Gulf War and Operation Desert Storm, Brian was honored with the ESGR Patriot Award for his support of active-duty military personnel and their families.
