Nancy Treaster, Co-founder of Caregivers Journey
Nancy is a retired software industry executive and Certified Caregiving Consultant who co-founded the
nonprofit The Caregiver's Journey® with longtime friend Sue Ryan after both experienced the challenges
of dementia caregiving for multiple family members. Together they co-host their Gold Stevie Award-winning
podcast - The Caregiver's Journey - consistently ranked one of the top How-To podcasts in the US on Apple,
reaching tens of thousands of listeners worldwide.
Nancy brings a compassionate yet no-nonsense approach that resonates with caregivers navigating their own
journeys. She delivers practical, experience-based strategies that help caregivers build confidence, anticipate
challenges, and find effective solutions - cutting through the overwhelm with clarity and authenticity.
Nancy is on the board of directors for the Georgia Gerontology Society as well as the board of advisors for Beyond
Dementia Coalition. She is also on the Community Advisory Boards of the NIH Open Measurement Network Initiative
for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (OMNI ADRD) and Dr. Emily L. Mroz's Frost Lab at Emory University's
Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing.
