A Taste of Sweetgrass Culture

Description

- Come and see a history and display of sweetgrass artistry by Henrietta Snype.

- There will be an open bar included for the evening with your purchase.

- "A Taste of the Culture" will be prepared by Buckshot's Restaurant.

- A takeaway gift is included with your ticket purchase.

- We will have a silent auction to bid on a group of unique items donated by local businesses, artist and sweetgrass basket makers.

- You will also be able to meet the Board of Directors of the African American Settlement Community Historic Commission.

- You will enjoy an evening of great conversations with local residents, smooth jazz and our dynamic keynote speaker Reggie Love and remarks from Charleston County School District Superintendent Don Kennedy.

Reggie Love was a personal aide to President Barack Obama. He was also a basketball and football player at Duke and took their basketball team to the 2001 National Championship. He is the author of "Power Forward, My  Presidential Experience."
