DESCRIPTION:YPG Join the Chamber and Charleston Habitat for Humanity on a Mount Pleasant construction site\, and step into an experience that is equal parts meaningful\, collaborative\, and fun. No prior construction experience is required our skilled staff and crew leaders will provide all the training\, tools\, and safety equipment you'll need.\n\n\n\nA typical build day begins with a safety briefing and an overview of the day's tasks. Depending on the stage of construction\, you might help with framing\, installing siding\, painting\, landscaping\, or other hands-on projects that bring a home closer to completion.\n\n\n\nThroughout the day\, you'll work alongside future Habitat homeowners\, staff\, and fellow volunteers. This is one of the most rewarding parts of the experience knowing the work you put in has a direct impact on helping a family achieve affordable homeownership.\n\n\n\nWe encourage volunteers to wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty\, closed-toe shoes\, and to bring water and sunscreen. Breaks and lunch will be provided so you can recharge and connect with your team.\n\n\n\nAt the end of the day\, you'll leave with new skills\, a sense of accomplishment\, and the knowledge that you played a part in building strength\, stability\, and independence through shelter.\n\n\n\nWe want to thank Pages Okra Grill for sponsoring our Team Build! \n\nVolunteers will be provided with lunch\, snacks\, and t-shirts.
