DESCRIPTION:Doug Warner graduated from Presbyterian College with a bachelor's degree in business and\n\npolitical science. As a student\, he was elected president of the student body and Pi Kappa Phi\n\nFraternity. He was also a leader in the ROTC program and the Student Union Board. He also\n\nreceived a master's degree from The Citadel in 1991.\n\n\n\nAfter graduation\, Warner received a commission in the United States Army Reserves and began\n\nhis career with First Union National Bank in Charlotte\, NC. He eventually transferred to\n\nCharleston because he loved the city's history\, people\, proximity to the water\, and its\n\noverlapping living-working dynamic.\n\n\n\nWarner went on to work for the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce\, The Roper\n\nFoundation\, Hill Construction Corporation\, and Ketner for Congress before he eventually started\n\nhis real estate development and auction companies. He currently is the Executive Vice President\n\nfor Explore Charleston. He was deployed as a reservist to Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert\n\nStorm and was the Army Jr. Officer representative to NATO in 1992 through the Reserve\n\nOfficer's Association.\n\n\n\nWarner currently serves on the MUSC Cardiology & Vascular Advisory Board\, Spoleto Festival\,\n\nUSA Board of Directors and has held leadership positions with the Medical University of South\n\nCarolina's Children's Hospital Board\, Alliance for Full Acceptance Board\, Presbyterian College\n\nBoard of Trustees\, and Alumni Board. In addition\, Warner is a founding board member and past\n\npresident of the Charitable Society of Charleston.\n\n\n\nWarner is a licensed auctioneer and has provided pro bono auction services to more than 30 non-\n\nprofit organizations each year for the past 25 years. He has raised more than $75 million to\n\nsupport the missions of non-profits across the country pro bono. In 2016\, Warner was awarded\n\nthe Presbyterian College Dum Vivimus Servimus Award "while we live\, we serve" in\n\nrecognition of these efforts.\n\n\n\nWarner and his husband\, Truman Smith live in Charleston\, SC.
